The best way I found is to use "Mesh to solid" program, convert the file to 3Dm, and import it to inventor, no hassle, file ready to edit. Then export to a sat file and import to Inventor. On new version, I see now this is build in, and works better to some extend as in it recognizes the flat surfaces, meaning you can pick up eges etc. I found it so annoying I don t bother changeing models anymore. This tools gives you a model to work with, but it's all triangulated and you can t pick up edges etc. ![]() Do you now how to import or convert it for Inventor? Meanwhile, on my old InventorI had to download a plug-in called "Mesh Analyzer for inventor". Some times I need to edit some stl files to do a nice print.
